About Us

At Canaan Kids Artspace, we’re on a mission to spark creativity, nurture community, and promote environmental stewardship. Starting out "on the move," we bring economically accessible art programming to children ages 2–10 at various locations throughout Berkshire and Litchfield counties.

Through a mix of structured and open-ended activities centered around upcycled materials, we inspire young creators to think sustainably, connect with others, and express themselves joyfully. While we’re currently mobile, our ultimate goal is to establish a permanent space in North Canaan, CT, where creativity and sustainability can thrive together.

Our Philosophy

Creativity is a fundamental part of being human. We believe art should be accessible to all and created with care for the environment. We focus on making art with children that emphasizes exploration, self-discovery, and the joy of creativity itself, placing value on the act of making rather than the final product.
